Hi, I’m Julie Dosh, and I’m raising funds to support my husband, Dave Dosh.
On May 28th, Dave underwent heart surgery to repair a valve, but once the doctors began, it became clear he needed a full valve replacement. Unfortunately, complications arose during surgery, and Dave was placed on multiple life-support machines to help his body recover.
He was connected to an ECMO machine (which filters toxins from the blood), a dialysis machine (to support kidney function), and a ventilator to help him breathe. He’s been sedated since the surgery so his body can rest and heal.
As of Monday, June 9th, we received a hopeful sign — Dave was removed from the ECMO machine. However, he still relies on dialysis and the ventilator, and we don’t yet know when he’ll wake up or be able to come back to us. Right now, we’re taking things one day at a time and holding on to every small improvement.
How the funds will help:
This medical crisis has deeply affected our family in more ways than one. With Dave in critical care, both of our household incomes have come to a halt. I’ve been staying near the hospital to be close to him, which means added costs for hotel stays, meals, parking, and travel to and from home. On top of that, we’re facing mounting medical bills and ongoing living expenses while we navigate this uncertain and emotional time.
Your support — whether it’s through a donation, a share, or simply keeping us in your thoughts — is a lifeline for us right now. Every little bit helps, and we’re beyond grateful for your kindness.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
