Mia is a 27 year-old woman who survived a 14-meter (46-foot) fall from the 4th floor of a building whilst vacationing in Mexico. A fall that should’ve taken her life. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery on a shattered ankle with exposed bone. But that was only part of the damage.
Her other leg is in worse condition with a shattered femur and complete loss of function. Right now, that leg is completely unusable, and she is bed-bound and in extreme pain. Doctors have said a second urgent surgery is needed immediately if there’s any chance for her to walk again.
This is not something the family ever wanted to go public with. Mia is proud and private. But the reality is overwhelming. We’re sharing her story now in the hopes that she can receive any kind of support financially or through shares.
This fundraiser will go directly toward:
Surgery to repair her shattered femur
Post-op care and medications
Medical equipment and mobility aids
Basic living expenses while she’s unable to work or stand
Even the smallest donation helps. And if you’re not able to give, please share this with someone who might.
Thank you for helping Mia fight to walk again.
