Over the weekend of June 7, 2025, Brooklyn, daughter of Gen, a long-time NLPT member, and Andrew, one of our incredible NLPT coaches, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Wilms Tumor Cancer. The news was sudden and devastating, and their world has changed overnight.
Right now, their focus is on Brooklyn’s treatment and protecting her fragile immune system. That means no visitors for the time being, and every bit of energy is going toward her care and keeping things as stable as possible at home.
This fundraiser is set up to help ease the financial pressure so Gen and Andrew can be fully present with Brooklyn without having to worry about work, bills, or medical costs piling up.
If you know them, you know they’re the kind of people who show up, no questions asked. Gen is the kind of person who brings warmth and encouragement to everyone around her, and Andrew has been a steady presence and coach to so many here at NLPT. Whether it’s through a kind word, support during a tough workout, or just being there when it matters, they’ve always given to others.
Now it’s our turn to show up for them. This is one of the hardest things a family can go through, and they shouldn’t have to do it alone. Every donation, share, or kind word helps lighten the load and reminds them that they have a community behind them.
