Hi!
On June 4th, I was experiencing the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced. I went to the emergency room where I ended up being admitted. After a lot of different tests, we found out that I have a complex mass in my abdomen, accompanied by a serious infection and inflammation.
After 7 days in the hospital, I have finally been given the okay to go home. However, I am headed home with a picc line in my arm. I am required to do an IV antibiotic treatment once a day for 4 weeks. I will also have a CT around the 3 week mark, and will potentially have the mass removed.
As you can probably imagine, this medical emergency brought upon a lot of different challenges. Thankfully, my girlfriend Hope was able to take PTO to be with me in the hospital.
This unforeseen hospital stay did unfortunately cut into our money for bills this month. We needed to pay for parking, for food for Hope, for extra gas for the drive back and forth to make sure the cats were taken care of, and other expenses that we did not plan for.
I still have a long road to recovery, and I’m not sure what other obstacles will arise. I made this fundraiser just to try and get ahead of things as much as possible.
