Many of you know the White family, and Jamie’s face is familiar to us all.
Sadly, on Saturday the 14th of June, Jamie was involved in a serious accident. He is currently in a coma, and while the road to recovery is still uncertain, we do know it will be long and challenging. His family will need to take extended time off work to care for and support him through this journey.
The Whites have been part of the Christmas Island community since 2007, with both daughters attending school and beginning their adult lives here. Jamie has worked on the island since their arrival, and Carola was due to relocate here in the coming weeks.
The family has always given generously to our community, supporting countless charity and community events both on and off the island. Now, it’s our turn to give back.
They are already feeling the love through the many kind messages of support. If you’re able, donating is another way we can show our support. All funds raised will go towards easing the financial burden during this time and assisting the family while work isn’t an option.
