In March, I was shockingly diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer. A large mass—measuring 17 x 11 x 9 cm—was found across my chest and sternum. There were also two lymph nodes measuring 2 cm, a suspicious spot on my lung, and questionable activity around my kidney.
Pat and I started a fundraiser, and God miraculously provided what we needed to travel to an integrative cancer facility called Hope4Cancer. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank every single one of you who gave so generously. Your support made this possible!
We’ve already seen incredible progress. The larger mass has now shrunk to 11 x 8 x 6.5 cm, and the two lymph nodes have reduced to just a few millimeters! All of this happened in just a month and a half. Praise God, praise God, praise God!
After a frightening week in the hospital where I became neutropenic and was placed in isolation due to dangerously low blood counts, God once again intervened. I had to stop all treatments so that my liver could recover—and He miraculously doubled my white blood cell count! We are in awe of His goodness.
Thanks to a second fundraiser organized by dear friends at church, we’ve been blessed with enough funds for me to return to Hope4Cancer for a one-week stay. This will allow their team to closely monitor me as I restart treatment. We are deeply humbled and profoundly grateful for everyone who gave and prayed.
To support my body through this next season, the doctors have recommended some at-home equipment to strengthen my body on a cellular level. Specifically, they are focusing on strengthening my mitochondria—the part of the cell responsible for producing energy. These recommended tools include a hyperbaric chamber, ozone therapy, a sauna dome that safely raises my core temperature, and daily hydrogen-oxygen therapy.
The total cost for this equipment is approximately $15,000. After researching and consulting with the Hope4Cancer team, we believe these tools will help my body stay strong through upcoming treatments, especially chemotherapy.
