This is me and my beautiful daughter. My daughter has multiple bleeding disorders and doesn’t clot. She was diagnosed with Von Willebrand disease just after she turned 8 and is now 15. After multiple spontaneous bleeds, the doctors finally started looking deeper into her condition and discovered she also has a factor 13 deficiency. The doctors have been trying for years to control her bleeds. She began going to the hemophilia treatment center in Colorado 5 years ago after a brain bleed; we are in Montana. After complication after complication, we decided to move closer to the leading HTC in Indiana.
We are weeks away from moving (July 1st), and due to more bleeds, we are behind on funds to move. I am a single mother and try to provide the best I can for my child, but when it’s only you and your child keeps having internal bleeds, it makes it hard to work, let alone continue to work on a continuous basis. We are asking for help with funds so that we can relocate to Indiana and seek proper treatment for my daughter’s bleeding conditions.
