Hi, my name is Trey Whatley. I’m 26 years old and reaching out during one of the toughest times in my life. I’ve always done my best to stay strong, but right now, I need a helping hand.
I grew up in a difficult environment and faced homelessness at a young age. My father passed away seven years ago, and I’ve been doing my best to move forward since then. Recently, I moved to Florida with my mom to help take care of my late grandmother’s house. Not long after settling in, I suffered a serious accident and broke my wrist — fracturing it in three places. The injury requires major surgery to repair.
Unfortunately, when I moved, my health insurance was dropped, and I was denied coverage for the surgery. Now, I’m being told I have to pay over $8,000 out of pocket. I’m currently unemployed, with no income, and I’m in a lot of pain every day.
This surgery is critical not just for healing, but for regaining use of my hand and being able to work again. I’m not one to ask for help easily, but I truly have no other options. Every donation — no matter the amount — brings me one step closer to healing, to stability, and to getting my life back on track.
If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this with your friends and family means the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey toward recovery.
All funds will be directly used for all the medical bills
With gratitude,
Trey Whatley
