Help Tracy Get the Critical D & C She Needs

I need your help through a very delicate and trying time, as this is one of the most difficult things I’ve had to ask of anyone. My wife, Tracy, has been working through severe health concerns since December 2024. We’ve been doing our best to manage, keep her stable, waiting to see, while hoping things will improve, not wanting to tell anyone, as it’s very personal… For many reasons beyond our control and means, we’ve been without health insurance coverage for the past few years. And, in December 2024, we had to admit her to emergency care, needing a blood transfusion, due to her escalating situation.

Because of “cash pay” for recent emergency care and several other medical needs leading up to that point, we were unable to afford or get health coverage in time and pay for any new insurance policy by the January 15th, 2025 enrollment deadline this year… In the following months, we’ve tried to obtain public and private insurance, having contacted many insurance agents and sites to basically be told the same thing, “unfortunately, at this time there’s nothing we can do for you until the next enrollment period begins, in November 2025.” …Hence, waiting to see if things will improve on our end with fingers crossed.

Now, six months later, her condition isn’t improving. In that time, her doctors brought her in for multiple biopsy attempts, three iron infusions and prescribed her two new medications to mitigate the issues at hand. All while her doctors, with all things considered, are requesting we get her in ASAP, as it’s imperative we perform a D & C to obtain a biopsy at this juncture. Because of our insurance situation (or lack of), as we’ve depleted all savings and credit card limits, trying our best to maintain her health, we’ve hit a severe wall. We’re in a situation where we simply need your financial help.

We have already pushed back the first D & C appointment scheduled (in good faith) for Tracy (June 2nd) as we didn’t have the money or insurance to pay ‘cash’ upfront for the procedure. Of course, the next appointment available has been scheduled for July 28th (in good faith and with fingers crossed), but we fear we’ll have to push it back once again, unless we have help beyond our scope and current means.

Cash pay for a D & C, as we’ve been told by Mayo in Phoenix, is $31,000. So far, Tracy and I have been able to raise $2,000 of that amount. And by the pre-payment deadline of July 21, we think we’ll be able to raise approximately another $1,000 within our abilities. And, with that, we’re still coming up short by $28,000… And this would leave us with no other option but having to push back her D & C once again. Further hoping we don’t have to use the money we saved/raised ($3,000) for the prescribed D & C, for more iron infusions, or blood transfusions, putting us back at square one, with her in the emergency room.

Our hope and goal is to get a D & C by July 28th, for a biopsy to rule things out. Once we have that information, the doctor will then know how to fully proceed, as he’s also said that no matter what, she’ll most likely need to get a full hysterectomy to get fully better. Which is another story altogether.

So, our need is to obtain the D & C information first, ASAP, and if the proposed biopsy shows up negative, we have a plan (and hope) to wait for January 2026 for new insurance, to get her complete surgery… As we’ve been told by insurance agents we should be able to get a new insurance policy started by November 2025, with coverage beginning January 2026.

At this time, as she’s doing her very best through all of this, we’re stuck in an emergent moment that we can’t see our way through without your help, love, and support, as time is of the essence. Delaying this care any longer is not a viable option.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your help with this delicate matter. – Nathan & Tracy

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
