The Fight Against Cancer
I never imagined I’d be in a position like this — having to ask for help so publicly — and to be honest, it’s incredibly uncomfortable. But I’ve come to a place in my life where I don’t have many other options, and I need to reach out.
2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Ependymoma Grade 2, a rare type of brain tumor and cancer. Mine is RELA fusion-positive, a particularly aggressive subtype that falls under what’s known as high-grade central nervous system tumors (HCC). Hearing those words from my doctor turned my whole world upside down.
The truth is, every day has become a battle — not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and financially. Between the overwhelming medical bills, upcoming surgery, treatment plans, and the basic cost of living, things have become very hard. I’ve done everything I can to manage, but the reality is: I can’t do this alone.
I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of easing some of the financial pressure so I can focus on healing and staying strong through this fight. Donations will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses (surgery, hospital stays, treatments, follow-up care)
• Medications
• Living expenses (especially during times when I can’t work)
• Transportation to and from medical appointments
I’m not someone who’s ever been good at asking for help — but this is the hardest season of my life, and any amount of support, no matter how small, would make a world of difference. If you’re not able to donate, just sharing this with others would mean so much to me.
Thank you for reading this, and for even considering helping me through something so deeply personal and difficult. Your kindness and support are more appreciated than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
Keljen ❤️
