Hi everyone,
I’m writing this on behalf of my dear Jacquie. Many of you know her as a strong, selfless, and incredibly hardworking woman who gives her heart and soul to her boys, family, friends, and clients.
On April 28th, Jacquie suffered a serious fall that left her unable to work, care for herself, or support her boys the way she normally would. She’s been partially bedridden and out of work since, facing daily pain and a long road to healing.
After weeks of waiting and tests, Jacquie finally got answers, her MRI revealed a herniated disc, a bone spur pressing on her spine, and nerve damage. Surgery isn’t the best option right now, so her doctors are starting with a slow and careful treatment plan, including a series of steroid injections, possible nerve testing, and eventually physical therapy. if her pain becomes manageable.
Unfortunately, specialist appointments and referrals are often booked far out, meaning her healing process is going to take time and patience. And with each delay comes more financial and emotional strain.
To be completely honest, Jacquie is incredibly humbled (and a little embarrassed) that I’m creating this fundraiser for her. She’s always been independent, provided solely for her boys, herself, and been the one people rely on. Accepting help is not easy for her. But the truth is, she needs our support right now.
As a self-employed esthetician and small business owner, Jacquie doesn’t have paid time off or disability benefits. Being unexpectedly out of work for this long has created an enormous financial burden on top of the physical toll.
I’m sharing this because I know how many people love Jacquie and would want to help if they knew what she was going through. She has always shown up for others, now it’s our turn to show up for her.
If you’re able to contribute in any way, your generosity will go directly toward helping Jacquie cover her living expenses, medical costs, and essential needs while she continues to heal. And if you’re not in a position to give financially, please consider sharing this or sending love and prayers her way, it all means the world.
Thank you for surrounding Jacquie with love, compassion, and community during this incredibly hard and vulnerable time.
