Hello, my name is Alisa Earll, and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my wonderful husband and father, Frank Earll.
On Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025, my husband was rushed to the HCA Florida Westside Hospital ER via ambulance after experiencing severe abdominal pains. The doctors and a group of experienced surgeons would determine that he had a perforated large intestine, (as shown in the secondary post-surgery image courtesy of the surgery team), due in part to a bacterial infection that would need to be removed.
After the surgery, Frank would remain in the hospital for an additional two weeks because of complications with fluid that needed to be removed from his upper back, along with a colostomy consistency drainage issue.
My husband has now been released under a nurse’s home health care, where he is receiving an IV, colostomy care, and wound care to keep the surgery incision from being infected.
A second surgery is projected within the next 2-3 months by the surgeons’ group that will allow them to reattach everything and remove the colostomy system that is in place.
The next 6 months are going to be a very trying time for my husband and our family since he has not been able to work and now prepares mentally to endure another surgery before being on the final road to recovery.
With the growing medical costs, expenses, and things not covered by health insurance, we are reaching out to family, friends, and compassionate individuals for any type of support.
I want to thank you in advance for your kindness. We are very grateful for your donations, whether big or small, and for sharing this information. All contributions will go directly toward covering medical expenses, treatment costs, and essential needs to assist in Frank’s recovery.
Thank you,
Alisa Earll
