Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers —
I’m writing this on behalf of my best friend Mallory, an incredible ER nurse, and her husband, a devoted firefighter. They’re the kind of people who show up for others on the hardest days of their lives — and now they need our help.
Recently, their oldest daughter Addy, who is just 10 years old, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It’s been a life-changing diagnosis for their whole family. Overnight, Mallory and her husband were thrown into a new world of blood sugar checks, emergency planning, sleepless nights, and overwhelming medical costs.
One of the biggest financial burdens ahead is the cost of an insulin pump — a device that will help Addy manage her blood sugar more effectively and safely. This life-saving tool is essential for Addy to live a full, active childhood, but insurance doesn’t cover the full cost, and the out-of-pocket expenses are staggering.
Addy is full of life — smart, sweet, and endlessly creative. She absolutely loves to dance. Whether she’s in class or just twirling around the living room, dance is her passion and her happy place. We want to make sure diabetes doesn’t take that joy away from her.
That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Addy’s medical care — especially toward getting her the insulin pump she needs. If you can’t donate right now, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
Mallory and her family have spent their lives helping others. Let’s show them that their community is here to lift them up now that they need it most.
Thank you so much for your kindness, your support, and your prayers.
With love,
Tracie Lampella
