My big brother Shawn Horton has always been a hero. He’s the kind of person who brings light into every room, always smiling, always helping, always putting others first.
Whether he was fighting wildfires back home or volunteering on the front lines in Ukraine, his heart has always led him to where he could do the most good. He served in support of Ukraine out of a deep commitment to the belief that all people deserve freedom, dignity, and the right to live without oppression. He has been surviving in Ukraine since 2022 when the war began.
Tragically, while on duty, he stepped on a landmine. The explosion severely injured him, and he had to undergo an emergency amputation of his foot. He is currently recovering in a hospital in Ukraine, but the medical expenses are overwhelming and there’s still a long road ahead.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
– His current hospital bills.
– Ongoing rehabilitation and care.
– A prosthetic foot and related medical equipment.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference. If you can’t donate, please share this story. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more than words can express.
Thank you ❤️
