We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our dog, Milu. She’s a 4-year-old pitbull mix, full of love, personality, and joy—and she truly means the world to us. My wife and I don’t have children—Milu is our everything.
Last week, we noticed Milu started having skin allergies. We took her to the vet for her usual allergy shot, which normally works, but this time it didn’t help. Yesterday, things suddenly got much worse. Milu began vomiting and having severe diarrhea—but what alarmed us most was that her diarrhea was all blood.
We rushed her to the emergency vet, and she was admitted right away. After the initial exam, the vet told us they’re not exactly sure what’s going on, and that she needs to be hospitalized and go through extensive testing to figure out the cause and begin proper treatment.
The estimate for her care is between $2,500 and $4,800. It was completely unexpected, and as much as we want to do everything to save her, we weren’t financially prepared for an emergency like this.
We’re doing everything we can—but we can’t do this alone.
