Benjamin, who lives with his family, started having a fever and after a while had to be admitted to the hospital. After undergoing a lengthy treatment for the fever, he was not getting any better. Further tests and scans were done, after which the doctor diagnosed Benjamin with kidney failure. He also recommended a kidney transplant as soon as possible and hopefully within two weeks at most.
Ogbede Ugonna Benjamin has been in the hospital for over four months throughout this entire ordeal and is fighting for his life right now. The hospital would not carry out the transplant procedure until he has cleared outstanding medical bills and made an upfront deposit towards the surgery.
