My name is Ashley Skinner, and I hope and pray we can help my very dear friends in this very devastating time of their lives. Samantha Fields, a Conway, Arkansas, friend of 28 years, is currently battling for her life. On June 5th, 2025, she was involved in a terrible car accident. Due to the severity of her injuries, she had to be transported to the hospital via medical flight from the accident scene. She has broken both her arms and both of her legs. She’s also been having bleeding on her brain and hasn’t been responsive yet. She is currently in critical care. Once the brain bleeding is under control, she will require numerous surgeries. Samantha is a grandmother as well as a mother. She’s the crazy chick on the front row every Sunday at the Cowboy Church of Conway, praising God. She’s been through a lot but nothing like this. She has been battling addiction since she was a teen but has been clean for 6 years now. She’s also been working extremely hard at getting her home health care license and finally passed all her tests with 100% and finally got her a job. Then this happened, and this was very unexpected. She doesn’t even have health insurance, as if this weren’t bad enough already. We, like the rest of us, have to pay our bills and feed our families. Things are about to become very challenging for this family. If she makes it through this, she will have a very long road ahead of her.
Her loving husband, Shane Fields, and his mother, Patricia Garrett, have been by her side since the accident occurred. Shane was scheduled to go out of town for work this week, but that’s out of the question now. They need any kind of help they can get. Please try and imagine if this was your family, your mom, your wife, someone you love dearly. I don’t want them to worry about losing their house, paying their bills, or feeding their children. I know that everyone is struggling right now, so please pray for them. If you can afford to help, please do so. Anything is better than nothing.
Please, they are wonderful people who would assist anyone in any way they could. I pray for you all. Don’t take life for granted and never pass up the opportunity to tell your loved ones how much they truly mean to you. Don’t take for granted the blessing of waking up every day. Live life to the fullest and love one another like it is your last day. Learn to forgive others and have faith. Thank you all, and please pray extra hard for this family. Samantha is a fighter who will never give up. If we can, let’s make her fight a little easier.
