As a few people have heard, our friend and my father, Rick Johnston, is unfortunately facing a difficult battle with cancer that has appeared to have spread to his bones. Anyone who’s interacted with Rick or known him personally knows that he plans to fight this tooth and nail, and with the same tenacity and fire that he’s taken to every challenge laid before him so far.
The enormity of the endless bills, copays, medical equipment, medications, and constant unexpected charges has kind of forced our hand with asking for a hand. Life hits hard, and I realize sometimes people have to ask when they don’t want to. I know I’m not proud to admit we need it, but life has really forced my hand. This is going to not only be a tough fight physically and emotionally, but just as much financially and any help anyone can give will be truly and forever appreciated.
We would also like to share a very special thanks to Jeff, Courtney, Brian, and the rest of the Petersons family. You welcomed us in 9 years ago, and you’ve truly treated us like family since. The help, kindness, and support you’ve given us over the years, and especially these last couple months is something we will always be grateful and appreciative of.
