Hi, my name is Razi Johnson and I’m reaching out with hope in my heart and a goal I’ve worked so hard for — to live independently after surviving a life-changing accident.
On June 16, 2022, my life was turned upside down when I was hit in a motor-pedestrian accident. I was rushed into emergency surgeries after suffering a traumatic brain injury, brain hemorrhaging, and a stroke that left me paralyzed on one side of my body. I had to relearn how to do the most basic things: walk, eat, speak, and even hold my head up.
It hasn’t been easy. I still experience seizures and have blindness and lasting weakness on my left side, but I’ve made incredible progress. I recently graduated from high school at 20 — something I’m so proud of — and I’ve been accepted into a program that will support my goal of independent living.
This program is a major step forward in rebuilding my life. It will help me learn vital skills, connect me with job opportunities, and allow me to live on my own — something I’ve dreamed of ever since my recovery journey began. But I need help to get started.
I’m asking for your support to raise $15,000 to cover:
• My apartment rent and initial move-in costs
• Program tuition and transportation
• Basic living expenses like food, utilities, and medication
I’m determined to make this work and become fully self-sufficient. I’m actively looking for work and believe this support will be the foundation I need to launch into the next chapter of my life.
If you can donate or even just share my story, I would be so deeply grateful. Every bit helps me get closer to standing on my own two feet — literally and figuratively.
Thank you for believing in me.
With gratitude,
Razi Johnson
