My name is Patty Anderson. I am from Bellville, TX. I am 45 years old and have suffered my 3rd stroke, which has limited me to being able to work as much as I’d like to. The first stroke was in 2017, the second was in October 2024, and my third was in May of 2025. The first 2 strokes, they couldn’t figure out what was causing them. This last one, I had to be life-flighted to Memorial Hermann in Memorial City, where they did find a blood clot near the stem of my brain, which was successfully removed. They also found that I have a hole in my heart where clots are passing through.
My insurance won’t cover the operation needed to fix the hole in my heart because they are out of network. I know most people might say just find another provider in-network; however, with this being my 3rd stroke and having to be life-flighted because of the seriousness of it, I feel comfortable continuing treatment where they finally found the problem! This stroke has limited me to the amount of hours I can work a day because I tire very easily, and I have been experiencing a lot of confusion. Bills are already piling up due to my husband missing time at work to be there with me in the hospital for 3 days. At some point, I became unresponsive and had to be intubated.
Please help if you can. I have other fundraisers going as well but they aren’t doing as good as I hoped for.
