I met Nana Ama Birago Appau-Gyekye when I visited Ghana in September 2024. She is the daughter of a Methodist minister. Nana is 32 years old and the third of four siblings in her family. She is blessed with a musical talent and often sings at church as well as for her community during various events.
At birth, she was diagnosed with skeletal dysplasia (Achondroplasia) and underwent surgery on her lower limb. In 1997, she had another surgery on both legs at Koforidua Hospital in Ghana. Her parents have played a crucial role in managing her health and continue to seek appropriate medical care.
In 2020, she had surgery on her lower abdomen at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. However, she still faces challenges with walking and standing properly. Despite these difficulties, she is determined to use her musical talent to motivate and encourage the members of the Youth Development Ministry in her church.
I am therefore reaching out to people from all walks of life for financial assistance to help support and improve her health and achieve financial independence. Thank you for considering my appeal.
