Hi, my name is Brooke, and I’m reaching out with love and hope in my heart to ask for your support. My 5 month old baby boy has been diagnosed with plagiocephaly—a condition that affects the shape of his head—and he needs treatment that unfortunately isn’t covered under Alberta Health Services.
Right now, we’re navigating this journey with his doctor to determine the best course of action. He already requires physiotherapy, and we may soon need to move forward with a corrective helmet, which can be costly.
We don’t have private insurance, so every appointment, assessment, and potential helmet fitting comes out of pocket. It’s been overwhelming emotionally and financially, but we’re determined to do everything we can to support his healthy development.
