Help My Father Fight for His Life
Hello, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart as I watch my father, fight for his life far from home. I am his middle child, and this is one of the most painful moments I’ve ever experienced.
While visiting family in the Dominican Republic, my father suddenly suffered a stroke and developed a severe kidney infection that has now become septic. He is currently in the ICU battling multiple infections affecting his kidneys and pancreas. He’s receiving dialysis and beginning to show signs of organ failure.
To be able to provide my father the healthcare he needs to survive this, we had to transfer him to a hospital that has the proper resources to give him a fighting chance. However, the deposit alone just to admit him was extremely costly, and that’s only the beginning.
My father has no medical insurance and the cost of his care is quickly becoming more than our family can handle alone. We are doing everything in our power to make sure he gets the treatment he desperately needs. Our hope is that with your help, he can stabilize enough to return home and continue treatment surrounded by loved ones.
