Mumbere Godwin is 25 year old Ugandan, who was brought and taken in at an orphanage run by Bishop Prior John Musonge of the Ugandan dependency of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of America (https://oca-uaoc.org/holy-synod.html). Mumbere was abandoned by those close to him for his crippling medical issues which we are now asking for support for.
A medical diagnosis revealed that the problem originated in the brain through the spinal bone marrow with a joint separating the soft bone that joins them, leading to paralysis. Until he was given a catheter, Mumbere was unable to control any of his natural functions, which led to a deep wound on the buttocks and even started rotting his thigh muscles.
Bishop John is struggling to have enough to pay for Mumberes medical care in addition to keeping up with the upkeep and care of the many other orphans underneath him, and the many Churches of faithful Christians he serves in his community.
