Hey y’all! I hope this finds you well. ❤️
On June 4th, after a regular workday, I came home with unbearable tooth pain. No pain relievers helped—I took about 4–6 pills of Aleve, but nothing eased the pain. By 3 AM, I was alone, drifting in and out of consciousness, desperately trying to soothe what I thought was just a bad toothache with salt water, ice packs, and more pain medication.
By 5 AM, I finally reached my mom, who was working overnight, and my boyfriend, who had been asleep. They helped me find an emergency dental hospital because the pain was completely out of control.
Thankfully, we found one, and after examining me, they discovered a severe infection from two impacted wisdom teeth, along with serious decay in two others.
I never realized how bad my teeth had gotten—I brush and floss often and assumed occasional bleeding was just from brushing too hard. Unfortunately, despite having some insurance, it’s not from a well-known provider, and the out-of-pocket cost for this emergency procedure is much higher than I ever expected.
I’ve never been one to ask for help like this, but friends and family encouraged me to reach out. Anything you can contribute would mean the world to me. Asking for help isn’t a bad thing, and none of us should feel guilty for needing support when times get tough.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness you can send my way.
