Maverick is an energetic 11-year-old who loves playing video games, especially Fortnite. He was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension at just 2 years old. On June 6, he passed out and was rushed to the pediatric cardiac ICU at OU Children’s Hospital. Now, he’s being transported to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for a shunt procedure and will be placed on the transplant list.
This fundraiser is to help Maverick’s family manage the overwhelming medical bills, as well as the costs of travel, lodging, and time off work for his dad, Dillon McElfresh, and his brother, Grayson. The family is facing an uncertain future and ongoing expenses as they support Maverick through his procedures and recovery.
