Help Marianna Fight Her Brain Cancer Relapse
My name is Maksym, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my aunt, Marianna Levko, a strong, loving mother of two children — ages 11 and 15 — who is now facing the fight of her life for the second time.
In 2018, Marianna was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. She underwent a complex brain surgery in Spain performed by Dr. Bartolomé, followed by intense chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Against the odds, she went into remission — a hard-earned victory that gave her and her children a new lease on life.
For six years, Marianna enjoyed being a full-time mom, rebuilding her life, and watching her kids grow. Sadly, our hope was shaken earlier this year when routine scans revealed that her tumor has returned — and it’s growing fast.
Because of the aggressive nature of the recurrence, Marianna urgently needs a second round of treatment, including:
• Surgery
• Chemotherapy
• Radiation therapy
The best option for her is to return to Spain, under the care of the same trusted medical team. Unfortunately, she has no access to their local health insurance system, meaning all care must be paid out-of-pocket. We’ve received an initial cost estimate (attached), and it’s far more than our family can manage on our own.
