Hello! My name is Liz Chesbrough and I’m reaching out for help. On Sunday, 6/1/25, I went to Urgent Care for a migraine that wasn’t responding to OTC medication and rest. Due to my history with a bleeding disorder (Von Willebrand’s disease), they sent me over to the ER. At the ER, they wanted to run a CT scan with contrast to see why this migraine was more intense than other migraines I’ve had before. After completing the CT scan, they found an aneurysm on my ophthalmic artery (behind my left eye). They then referred me to a neurosurgeon.
I was able to talk with the neurosurgeon on 6/5/25 about next steps. Because of my Von Willebrand’s history, I have to have a special workup before proceeding with any procedure/operation for my aneurysm to assess my risks with bleeding. After that, I will get an angiogram to see what surgical options we have.
I’m setting up with fundraiser to help cover medical expenses and missed work as this was an unexpected thing
