Help Kimimila Get Her Life-Changing Service Dog
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers!
We’re reaching out to ask for your help in supporting our amazing daughter, Kimimila “Kimi”, as she takes a big step toward independence and healing. Kimi is a bright, talented teen who lives with type 1 bipolar disorder, a condition that brings both challenges and strength. Despite everything, she shines. She plays eight instruments, loves reading and art, and dreams of becoming a diagnostic medical sonographer.
To help her manage her disability, we’re raising funds for a psychiatric service dog — a sweet Golden Retriever who will be specially trained to support Kimi’s daily needs. This incredible dog will help by:
-Bringing her daily medication
-Providing deep pressure therapy during emotional distress
-Giving her a sense of calm, structure, and companionship
This dog won’t just be a pet — it will be a lifesaving partner as Kimi prepares for college and greater independence.
We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to cover:
-The cost of the dog (from a reputable Golden Retriever breeder)
-Professional service dog training (by a certified trainer)
-Vaccinations and vet bills to ensure the pup is healthy and ready to work
As a family, we simply don’t have the funds to make this happen on our own. But with your help — whether through a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others — we can make this dream a reality for Kimi.
Every dollar helps. Every share matters. And every act of kindness brings us one step closer to giving Kimi the tools she needs to thrive.
Thank you so much for supporting our girl — and for being part of her journey
With gratitude,
Christina and Russ Broadhurst
