Help Kevin Recover and Rebuild His Health

This is my baby brother, Kevin. He is turning 36 this year. Some people call him “Kato.” On Mother’s Day this year, he was admitted to the ICU very sick. He spent 10 long days in the hospital, being pumped full of antibiotics for a lung infection. He was also diagnosed with Celiac Disease, along with C-Diff.

Kevin was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 27 years old. Over the past 9 years, Kevin has gone from weighing 285 pounds to now weighing 110 pounds.

Kevin is finding it difficult to walk as he has bone-on-bone movement in his hips, ankles, and knees. He has to use a cane to maintain stability and be able to walk. Short distances are pretty close to impossible due to him becoming so weak and winded.

When in the hospital, Kevin focused on getting well enough to go home so he could be a Dad. Now Kevin is focusing on trying to put on some weight, some muscle mass, and trying to get back to a healthy body and mind.

Kevin did not get into this position overnight, and he is fully aware that the recovery road is long and paved with some bumps. He is fighting every day to get stronger and to be a better version of himself for all of those who love him.

He has some medical expenses that are not covered by his insurance. He is needing help from anyone who is in the position to help. If you are not able to donate, we ask that you please share.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
