I’m writing this with a heavy heart to share my dad’s story — a man who means the world to me.
If you’ve ever met my dad, Danny, you know the kind of person he is: warm, gentle, endlessly kind, and always putting others before himself. He’s the one who would give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked. To me and my brother, he’s been our biggest cheerleader, our rock, and our quiet hero.
He’s lived an incredible life — from his years in Japan to working near Wall Street — but his greatest accomplishment has always been being our dad. He taught us to be curious, brave, and kind. And now, he’s facing the toughest battle of his life.
Recently, my dad was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer called chordoma. It had been growing for years without us knowing, slowly destroying the bone behind his throat and sinuses. Surgeons did everything they could and removed most of the tumor, rebuilding the damaged bone with a graft. But part of the tumor remains — hidden deep between two major arteries and dangerously close to his brain, where it’s too risky to operate.
We’re now hoping that radiation therapy can stop the remaining cancer from growing. It’s a hard road ahead, and the future feels incredibly uncertain. I’m 18, and my little brother is just 15. We need our dad. I hold onto hope that he’ll be there to walk me down the aisle one day, or to watch my brother graduate — moments that suddenly feel so fragile.
Watching him go through this has been heartbreaking. He’s not able to work, and the medical bills are piling up fast. Insurance only covers so much, and it’s overwhelming trying to figure everything out while he’s just trying to heal.
If you’re reading this, thank you — for your time, your compassion, and your support. Whether you know my dad or not, if his story touches your heart, please consider helping. Any amount truly means the world to us.
We’re so grateful for every prayer, every share, and every donation. Thank you for standing with us.
