Kase is the 13-year-old son of Tanya and Duane Barclay. He was diagnosed with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He was admitted on March 26, 2025, and had open heart surgery (septal myectomy) on April 9, 2025. He was discharged on April 16, 2025, and then five days later got admitted for infection and pancreatitis. He was in the hospital for 11 more days with a feeding tube and antibiotics. Kase has one more surgery to get done in June for a defibrillator.
