Hello, my name is Tanisha Marable and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved husband, Justin, who is currently fighting for his health.
Just over a week ago, he came down with what we thought was a severe illness. After days of high fever and worsening symptoms, I rushed him to the emergency room. By the time we arrived, his temperature had spiked to 103°F, and he was already in sepsis—a dangerous and life-threatening condition caused by the infection spreading through his body.
He’s now been in the hospital for two days, battling severe pneumonia and sepsis. Despite being on powerful, broad-spectrum antibiotics, doctors are still struggling to keep his fever under control—it keeps rising and won’t stay below 100°F. The road ahead is uncertain and frightening.
This couldn’t have come at a worse time. He just started a new job, but hasn’t been there long enough to earn vacation or sick leave. His health insurance won’t begin until August, leaving us responsible for significant out-of-pocket medical expenses. With him unable to work and no paid time off, this illness has already become a major financial hardship for our family.
