Help Jotina Get Life-Changing Surgery

My name is Jotina. I have gone through 15 years of this journey trying to find answers to my abdominal, flank, and back pain. Nausea, limited food intake ability, and level 10 pain after eating. Pain stayed at level 6-10 during these 15 years with a rare day of level 2-3 in a year. Fifteen years of trying to find out what is happening to me, going through doctors and GI doctors, multiple imaging throughout the years with no answers. One doctor removed my gallbladder because she thought that was my issue. A HIDA scan showed 26% function, so I guess this would be a normal conclusion. My pain and issues continued. I have spent 20K plus on trying to find answers. I suspect a Surgery of this magnitude may cost me 30K or more. I recently saw a PT that had MALS, and she suspected I had MALS. She advised consulting a vascular doctor. Probably my 13th abdominal imaging, including 3 endoscopies over 15 years. Finally, I found out that I have 50% stenosis of the Celiac trunk on initial CTA read. I am still going through testing to ensure a full understanding of how to move forward for surgery. I live in Arizona, but the best choice for surgery may be in Connecticut, which my insurance will not cover.

The fear of eating and isolation due to pain stopping me from living my life fully is a consequence of this medial issue.

I am a self-employed massage therapist that needs help with paying for all of this and the downtime of not being able to work in recovery.

I want to live my life more fully enjoying dancing, hiking swiming, travel, and feel more comfortable being in social situations. Lord I pray that you grant me the grace to live my life. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
