Raising money for my cat Ivy, who just turned 7. Ivy had a seizure and diabetic ketosis back in December that resulted in a four-day vet hospital stay, blood transfusions, insulin meds, and more. This totaled about $15k. She has been back and forth to the vet for the last six months for check-ups, glucose tests, and blood panels with no clear answer since she turned out to not be diabetic but continued to be sick with vomiting and diarrhea on and off. That totaled around another $3-4k of bills.
Last month, I took her to a new vet and they, while also puzzled, recommended doing an ultrasound and more blood tests for $2k. The ultrasound showed something in her small intestine beside her pancreas that they are unsure what it is but needs to be removed. This surgery is going to cost $11k, with treatment and recovery bills following.
I’ve had Ivy since 2018 and she’s been with me in three cities, two moves, and is my baby. While I will continue to pay for her treatment, it’s been very taxing on finances and credit cards, and I appreciate any help!
