Help Hailey Fight HER-2 Positive Breast Cancer
On June 12th, 2025, our beloved sister, daughter, and friend Hailey received news that would change her life: she was diagnosed with HER-2 positive breast cancer — specifically, “Locally advanced, ER/PR-negative, HER-2 positive (3+ IHC and FISH) invasive ductal carcinoma of the right breast.”
This form of cancer is considered the 2nd most aggressive type of breast cancer, and Hailey is preparing for the difficult road ahead.
What’s Next for Hailey
Before she can undergo a mastectomy to remove the tumors, Hailey must first complete 4 to 5 months of intense chemotherapy. She already has an echocardiogram (6/21/25) PET scan,(6/23/25) and port placement (6/24/25) scheduled, and is expected to begin chemotherapy as early as the first or second week of July.
Throughout this journey, Hailey will be unable to work consistently due to the toll chemotherapy will take on her body — both physically and emotionally.
