Help! Family of 7 face cancer and homelessness.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for families facing difficult times. It’s been my calling to stand beside others when they need it most.

Today, I’m coming to you with something deeply personal because this time, it’s MY family who needs our community’s support.

I’ve never reached out asking for help for myself or my loved ones before. Throughout all my years of fundraising for others, I’ve always stayed in the background, quietly working to lift up families in crisis. But Matthew and our family are facing a challenge that’s bigger than what we can handle alone.

These aren’t just relatives to me. Matt and Jazz have always been there for others, just as I’ve tried to be. Now it’s our turn to rally around them the way they’ve supported so many throughout their lives.

I’m humbly asking you to join me in helping Matthew reach our goal. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping our family in your thoughts, anything you can do would mean the world to us. Please help me get them across the finish line and through this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up when it matters most.

Here’s their story:

Help the Smith Family Rebuild After Cancer, Crisis, and Job Loss

Hi, my name is Donna, and I’m raising funds for a beautiful family in the midst of a devastating crisis. The Smiths are currently living in a hotel with their five children after facing a series of heartbreaking setbacks.

Jasmine Smith, just 34 years old, is a devoted wife and the proud mother of five:

J’myah (15) intelligent, protective, and artistic

Matthew Jr. (13) – funny, loyal, and driven

Grace (12) – tender-hearted and creative

Time (4) – full of questions and energy

Love (2) – bubbly, sweet, and still learning her words

Last year, Jasmine was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a serious form of cancer. Since then, she lost her job as a sought-after soccer coach, and her health has declined rapidly, requiring regular hospital visits and urgent medical care. Jasmine has always been the heart of her home — a mother who made magic out of little and gave her kids warmth even on the hardest days.

But the hardest day came recently when she was found unresponsive by hospital staff. Her husband, Matthew Smith, was at work when he got the call no one ever wants to receive. Without hesitation, he dropped everything and ran to the hospital to be by her side.

Choosing love and life over a time clock cost him his job. He was fired for leaving mid-shift.

Now, this young couple and their five children are living in a hotel, one step away from homelessness, trying to navigate a health crisis, financial hardship, and the crushing uncertainty of what comes next.

They need your help.

Your donation will go directly to:

Covering hotel costs and securing stable housing

Transportation to and from Jasmine’s medical appointments

Basic needs: food, diapers, clothing, and school supplies

Keeping the lights on for five kids who just want to stay together, safe, and loved

Matthew has found a new job as a forklift operator but he is now the sole breadwinner while also caring for the kids and supporting Jasmine through her treatment. The weight of everything has fallen on his shoulders, and he’s doing everything he can, but it’s too much for one person to carry alone.

If you’ve ever wondered how to make a real difference in someone’s life, this is the moment.

Please give what you can. Every dollar counts, every share matters, and every act of kindness is a lifeline for the Smiths right now.

Thank you for standing with this family in their darkest hour. Let’s remind them that they are not alone.

With deep gratitude,

Donna

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
