My name is Jojo, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my 16-year-old little brother, Cody.
Cody is a bright, kind-hearted, and hardworking teenager who has always done the right thing. He’s the kind of kid who never misses school, shows up for those he loves, and dreams big about his future. He didn’t deserve what happened to him.
Recently, Cody was asked to visit his homeless father — someone who had been in and out of his life but still held a place in Cody’s heart. Trusting that it was safe, Cody went. What happened next was unthinkable.
Cody was severely beaten — so badly that he ended up in the hospital on life support, fighting for his life. As a family, we are devastated. He is currently undergoing intensive care and around-the-clock treatment as we pray for a miracle and hold onto hope.
This fundraiser is to help with:
• Cody’s medical expenses, including hospital stays, surgeries, and medications
• Ongoing rehabilitation and trauma counseling
• Legal fees as we fight for justice
• Support for Cody’s care once he’s able to return home
We are asking for any help — big or small — to support Cody in his fight. He didn’t ask for any of this. He’s just a kid who was trying to reconnect with a parent and ended up being betrayed in the worst way.
