We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support a wonderful man, our good friend Chuck Farrar, who has been diagnosed with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. Myelomonocytic leukemia is a very rare blood cancer that can only be treated with stem cell replacement. Chuck is now facing the fight of his life and must undergo a stem cell transplant in Boston — a critical procedure that offers his best chance at recovery. He and Dale, his wife, will need to stay in Boston for 4 to 6 weeks during treatment and recovery, incurring significant expenses for lodging, meals, and daily living costs. After that, Chuck will need to travel to Boston once a week for at least two months. On top of that, their home must be professionally cleaned and sanitized to ensure a safe environment when he returns with a weakened immune system. This journey is not one they can take alone. It is long and costly. Any donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward medical-related expenses and easing the burden during a very difficult time. Chuck is the one to light up any room – he can make you smile and laugh in any situation. He is the kind of person that you feel like you have known your whole life even upon first meeting him. He would be the first to help in a situation such as this. Please share and give if you can to help our friend get well.
