My name is Christopher Crossland (51 yrs. old) and I live in Aiken, SC. Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with a whole slew of problems.
“It’s the last big show and the last bucket of popcorn.”
I’m dying. Literally. Not like “everyone is dying, but Make a Wish Foundation dying.
Ailments:
1. Edema
2. Varicese, Esophageal
3. Diuretic Dishcharge
4. Ascites
5. Kidney Stones
5. Bleeding ulcers of esophagus and stomach
6. ABLA (Acute Blood loss anemia)
7. Acute lower GI bleeding
8. Bilateral variococeles
9. Right Hyrocelle
10. Plunging Hemoglobin levels. Average is 8 plus. I was down to 3.5 twice which caused bloody vomit, light headiness, and passing out
11. Weight loss. I used to weight 160lbs. I’m down to 130lbs.
12. Most importantly: Cirrhosis
I have a girlfriend of 12 years and her daughter and I’ll be darned if I lead them holding the bag! I’m going to fight this kicking and screaming and not lay down like a friend of mine just to die in a hospital bed.
Yes, I am asking for an exorbitant amount. I’ve been in and out of 3 different hospitals (a total of 5 times) in the matter of a month and a half.
This money would go towards general bills (electric, internet, phone, food. Additionally, I have a consultation next week with a GI to talk about steps to get a liver transplant which I have to pay out of pocket. I have no insurance at the moment nor job. Mobility is LIMITED! I use a walker to get around and sloooowwwwwly. Next week I will hopefully return to an old position which pays nicely, but have to wait 3 months for BCBS.
With the amount I’m seeking the first level before I can collect more is $3,500. Even this amount would help tremendously.
Please donate what you can. $5, $10, more if possible. Thank you all so much for hearing my plea.
