My name is Brittany, and I’m reaching out for my aunt, Catherine Vredenburgh, who is facing one of the toughest battles of her life. Catherine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after doctors found a mass in her left breast. Despite undergoing a biopsy and a full mastectomy to remove her left breast, her journey has been filled with challenges.
Catherine had a drain tube after her mastectomy and was just beginning to recover when she suffered another setback—her drain tube was removed less than a week ago, but she never fully recovered. Now, she is in the hospital at Chipley because her right lower leg became severely swollen, red, and painful. Her medical team is working hard to help her, but her recovery is far from over.
Catherine’s wish is to have reconstructive surgery to restore her sense of self after losing her breast. However, the costs of surgery, hospital stays, and ongoing medical care are overwhelming. Insurance helps, but there are still significant out-of-pocket expenses.
We are asking for your support to help Catherine cover:
• Breast reconstruction surgery
• Mastectomy and related hospital expenses
• Post-operative care and medications
• Additional medical bills from her recent and ongoing hospitalizations
Any amount you can contribute will make a real difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing Catherine’s story. Your kindness and generosity will help her focus on healing and recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
