****Support Brodey’s Road to Recovery
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
We are reaching out to ask for your support for a remarkable 17-year-old boy named Brodey, who is about to embark on his senior year of high school this fall. Just a few days after celebrating prom, Brodey’s life took a tragic turn when he suffered a severe injury to his right eye, along with injuries to his facial bones and nerves. This traumatic incident required him to be lifelined to Riley Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Unfortunately, this week, we received the heart-wrenching news that Brodey will need another major surgery in the near future, with extensive rehabilitation ahead.
His dedicated mother, Lesa, is his primary caregiver during this difficult time. While she is doing everything possible to support and care for her son, she has limited resources. Lesa has taken time off work to care for Brodey but does not have paid time off (PTO), which means she is facing the added stress of financial strain as she balances work responsibilities with her son’s needs. The continued uncertainty surrounding Brodey’s health means that her time away from work may extend for an indefinite period.
This situation has been devastating for both Brodey and Lesa, impacting them physically, mentally, and financially. We hope to ease some of their burdens through this fundraising campaign.
The funds raised will go directly towards covering medical bills, living expenses, and rehabilitation costs. Our goal is to provide Brodey and Lesa with some relief from this immense amount of stress, allowing them to focus on what truly matters—Brodey’s recovery.
No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference. If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this post with your friends and family. Your support means the world to Brodey’s family.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Melissa Manley for Brodey and Lesa
