Help Brianna Overcome Chiari Malformation

We as a family debated for several days about setting this up, but here it goes.

Brianna is a kind, faith-filled young woman who recently got engaged and is looking forward to her wedding in March 2026. All she wants is to live a normal, healthy life. But for as long as she can remember, she’s struggled with constant health issues—severe migraines, back and spinal pain, sensitivity to light, fatigue, dizziness, brain fog, and nausea. She keeps her complaints to herself, but it’s obvious she isn’t feeling her best. Everyday things like sneezing, bending over, or even walking can be painful for her. She’s been through countless tests and doctor visits, but for years no one could give her a definitive diagnosis.

In 2022, after suffering from a weeklong migraine, she ended up in the emergency room. The doctors found a brain tumor, but more importantly, they discovered the true cause of her pain: Chiari Malformation.

Chiari Malformation is a serious condition where the brain is being pushed down into the spinal canal. A tight ligament at the base of the spine keeps pulling the brain downward, which causes even more pressure. Over the past 18 months, Brianna’s symptoms have gotten much worse.

The only way to stop the condition from progressing, and to give her relief, is through surgery. In the U.S., the only treatment is a risky and painful operation called decompression surgery, which involves removing part of the skull and spine to create more space. The recovery can take months, and the symptoms can come back.

After much prayer and a lot of research by her mom (Carolyn Wells), they have found some hope. A clinic in Barcelona, Spain (The Institute Chiari & Scoliosis) offers a much less invasive procedure. Their doctors can cut the tight ligament at the base of the spine, which stops the downward pull on the brain. Recovery is much quicker, many patients experience huge improvements, and this can stop the progression of getting worse.

Brianna has been evaluated by the doctors in Spain and has been approved for the surgery. The only problem is the cost. Insurance won’t cover it, and the procedure must be paid out of pocket. The surgery alone costs around $25,000, not including travel or lodging.

We need help. Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward Brianna’s surgery and related expenses. Your support could help her live without constant pain, without fear, and finally give her the chance to enjoy life the way she deserves. And if you cannot spare money, that’s okay; we need prayers too. We serve a mighty and merciful God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Faith is when you praise God in the storm, trust Him in the valley, and follow Him in the dark.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
