Help My Little brother Get the Treatment He Needs – Support Our Family Through a Medical Crisis.
Hello, my name is Lina Jazmati, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my little brother (Bashir) and our family (The jazmati family) as we go through one of the most difficult times in our lives. After years of confusion and unanswered questions, we finally received clarity about my brother’s condition—but the answers came with a heavy financial burden.
What We Learned:
After extensive medical testing—including DNA and specialized neurological testing—we found out that my brother tested positive for several rare and complex conditions:
Metabolic and mitochondrial function variants
White matter delays variants
Acquired Autism Spectrum Disorder variants
Neurotransmitter, synaptic health, and behavioral variants
These issues have deeply impacted his life.
He struggles with:
A stutter and difficulty expressing his thoughts and emotions
Muscle weakness and physical fragility
A brain that is functioning as if it’s 7 years younger than his actual age
The older he gets, the harder it will be to treat these conditions .
Despite all this, he remains loving, resilient, and full of potential.
We Found a Clinic That Can Help:
The same clinic that conducted my brother’s tests offers the treatment he needs. It’s located in the United Arab Emirates (Emarat) and has had success helping children with similar complex medical issues.
But the costs are overwhelming.
We’re not just paying for the treatment itself—we also have to cover:
Plane tickets for my mother and brother (round trip)
Hotel accommodations for the 3-week treatment period
Daily transportation to and from the clinic
Meals and other living expenses
All of this adds up to around $12,000 per visit—and this is not a one-time treatment. We’ve been told he will need to undergo this four times a year.
Each time, it will require new travel, hotel, and logistical planning—on top of the medical fees.
Our Family’s Situation :
We’ve been doing everything we can to stay strong, but the financial burden is becoming too heavy to carry alone. Bashir’s treatment journey began five years ago, and since then, our family has spent an overwhelming amount on countless tests and treatments—many of which, sadly, have not brought the results we hoped for.
Today, we find ourselves in debt, having already given everything we could just to reach this point.
Unfortunately, the road ahead still holds many more expenses, and the income from our jobs simply isn’t enough to keep up—especially given my father’s condition. He is disabled and wheelchair-bound, and due to his health, he is only able to work up to four hours a day.
We’re reaching out with open hearts, asking for your support to help us continue Bashir’s care and give him the chance at healing that he so deeply needs.
We’re asking for your support to help us:
Afford my brother’s recurring treatments abroad
Cover travel and living expenses during each visit
Begin to recover from the debt we’ve fallen into
Any donation—big or small—will make a meaningful difference. And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and community would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us through this incredibly difficult journey. You are giving my brother a chance at a healthier life and helping our family breathe again.
With love,
Lina and the Jazmati Family
