Hi everyone, I am organizing this fundraiser for baby Fatoumatta to help raise the money her family needs for her treatment.
Fatoumatta Marong is a 9 month old baby recently diagnosed with kidney cancer at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in The Gambia. This sweet little girl has endured more than any child should, multiple scans, X-rays and painful abdominal swelling. Fatoumatta has been battling pain for the past two months and now urgently needs surgery to survive. This operation is her only chance at a healthy future.
Though the family has managed to put together some money, the total cost of treatment is overwhelming. Doctors estimate that the medical expenses will exceed 200,000 Dalasis (about $3,000 USD), far more than the family can afford.
