Mawmaw (Arnetta), at 76 years young, has always been the vibrant heart of our family. A wonderful wife, a lifelong, devoted Catholic, and a steadfast follower of Jesus Christ, her faith has been the cornerstone of her life, guiding every step and filling her with an unwavering love for God and for others. An Italian dynamo, she’s known for her warm hugs, her infectious laughter, and a table always overflowing with delicious food and even more delicious company. She loves everyone, and everyone, in turn, loves her. With her husband Robert, three children – two daughters (Patti & Christina) and a son (Bobby) – and ten adoring grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, her life has been a beautiful tapestry woven with faith, love, tradition, and boundless generosity.
Recently, our world was shaken by a devastating diagnosis: Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) IDH wild type unmethylated. This aggressive form of brain cancer has delivered a cruel blow, threatening to dim the light of a woman who has always shone so brightly. We’ve been told that for GBM, especially IDH wild type and at her age, the traditional prognosis can be incredibly challenging. But Arnetta is not one to surrender, and neither are we. Her deep faith continues to be a source of immense strength, both for her and for our entire family.
We believe in Jesus and hope, we believe in fighting with every fiber of our being. That’s why we’re reaching out to you today. We’ve found a specialized hospital that focuses on advanced and experimental treatments for GBM in the elderly – a beacon of hope in what feels like a dark storm. These cutting-edge trials offer a chance, a chance for more time, more memories, and perhaps, even a breakthrough that could change everything.
