My name is April, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing some of the hardest times of my life. Over the past year, I lost my job unexpectedly and have been unable to find new work. My savings have run out, and I’ve exhausted all unemployment benefits. On top of this, I’m dealing with several medical issues that I simply can’t afford to treat.
My situation has been made even more difficult by surviving domestic abuse, which left me with both physical and emotional scars. I was stabbed and beaten, and I’m now trying to recover and rebuild my life on my own. Yesterday, my electricity was shut off without warning, and I have no income or support system to help me get back on my feet.
