My name is Pamela Mukanzu, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my father, Phineas Mukanzu, who is currently battling severe liver damage and may be facing stage one or two liver cancer. He is currently living in Zambia, Africa, where access to advanced medical care is extremely limited.
We are still in the process of diagnostic testing, but doctors have prepared us for a difficult road ahead—one that could involve long-term treatment, continuous monitoring, and potentially surgery. Unfortunately, Zambia faces serious challenges in treating early-stage liver cancer due to a lack of resources, limited medical equipment, and shortages of specialized healthcare providers. While a few specialized centers do exist, access to them is difficult and costly.
As someone living in the United States, I am doing everything I can to support my father from afar—but the financial strain is growing quickly. Medical bills, transportation for care, and everyday living costs are difficult enough here, but my father’s situation is even more complex. He is a devoted father to seven children and has been raising my siblings on his own since the passing of my mother, his beloved wife, when I was just 20 years old. It’s been a challenging journey for him, filled with both heartache and resilience.
Now, as he fights for his life in a country with limited medical infrastructure, we’re asking for your support—whether through a donation or simply by sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to ensuring my father receives the care he needs and deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
