Help Our Nanny Pay Hospital Bill Who Underwent Urgent Surgery for a Uterine Tumor
Dear kind-hearted strangers,
I am Rachel Balbon, a teacher for students with special needs here in the US, but my family is left in the Philippines.
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help on behalf of someone very dear to us—our nanny and house helper in the Philippines (Marilou Cadallo), who has been a loyal, hardworking, and loving presence in our home for many years. She’s more than just a helper—she’s family.
Recently, she was diagnosed with a fast-growing tumor in her uterus. Her OB-GYN has strongly advised that she undergo surgery as soon as possible due to the rapid growth of the tumor and the increasing pain she’s experiencing daily. Despite the discomfort and fear, she remains hopeful and deeply desires to live a full and healthy life.
We took her to the hospital this week because of so much pain, and she was immediately scheduled for surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure and hospital care amounted to approximately $5,000—an amount far beyond what she and her family can afford. Without financial support, she cannot get out of the hospital.
That’s why we’re turning to you. Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference and bring us closer to covering her hospital expenses. Your kindness and generosity can give her a second chance at life. With your help, we’re giving her the chance to fight for her life—and to keep dreaming of better days ahead. Your support is not just helping save a life—it’s giving hope. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Rachel Balbon
