Hi, my name is Nick, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing dad. He’s always been a strong, hardworking man — someone who has never asked for help, no matter how tough things got.
My dad has been diagnosed with Ménière’s disease, a chronic and unpredictable inner ear disorder that causes severe vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and constant pressure in the ear. It’s not just physically painful — it’s emotionally and mentally exhausting. The attacks are sudden and debilitating, leaving him sick, dizzy, and unable to function for hours or even days at a time.
Over time, it’s only gotten worse. He’s had to take more and more time off work, and now it’s reached a point where he may have to retire early — not because he wants to, but because he can no longer keep up. It’s been heartbreaking to watch the toll this has taken on him. He feels defeated, depressed, and robbed of the life he worked so hard to build.
I’m starting this fundraiser to help afford a new surgery they have for people with Ménière’s. It will leave him totally deaf in that ear but he says he would much rather be deaf than sick all the time. The surgery if fairly new so it not covered by insurance and the doctor told him it’s close to 70k so I’m just doing what I can to help.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others. Your support, encouragement, and kindness mean the world to our family right now.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
